New for 2024, Nightforce’s CFS (Configurable Field Spotting Scope) 6-36x50mm delivers balanced ergonomics, flexible configuration options, intuitive reticle designs, and the durability and refined optical quality that Nightforce optics are known for. It features a straight, streamlined profile reminiscent of a riflescope. This eliminates the risk of snagging on loose clothing and equipment, and allows the CFS to be conveniently carried in or on a pack. The controls are located in the center of the scope and feature knurled rubber rings, and 120° of rotation.
MOA-XT
Additionally, this CFS unit is equipped with the MOA-XTs – an intuitive reticle designed to be used in conjunction with riflescopes with MOA-XT reticles. The MOA-XTs is first focal plane, and can well suited for both low and high magnification settings. When set to low power, the MOA-XTs feature 50 MOA-Radian goal posts to the left and right to provide coarse MOA-Radian adjustments, facilitating clear shooter/spotter communication. When set to high power, the inverted grid of the reticle is offset to maintain a clear view of bullet trace, while providing fine subtensions for precise corrections. Additionally, a section of 0.25 MOA subtensions is included at the base of the grid for accurate range estimation.
TREMOR 4
Additionally, this CFS unit is outfitted with the renowned TREMOR4 reticle. This allows the shooter and spotter to view a target with the same common frame of reference when used with a riflescope equipped with a TREMOR2 or TREMOR3 reticle. It features a Mil line across the center of the reticle grid for gauging target measurement, target speed estimation, second shot correction and assists with target location. The spacing between the secondary horizontal lines is exactly 1 mil to ensure precise elevation holds. To accommodate wind and speed of the target, each secondary horizontal stadia line is calibrated with large hash marks spaced exactly 1 mil apart with smaller evenly spaced hash marks that are exactly 0.2 mils apart. The Horus Grid allows you to quickly and accuratley make a Second Shot Correction if your first shot misses. Furthermore, the Tremor4 spotting scope reticle pattern is located below the central viewing area, allowing clear observation, while maintaining measurement capability.
MIL-XT
Additionally, this CFS unit is equipped with the MIL-XTs – an intuitive reticle designed to be used in conjunction with riflescopes with MIL-XT reticles. The MIL-XTs is first focal plane, and can well suited for both low and high magnification settings. When set to low power, the MIL-XTs feature 50 MIL-Radian goal posts to the left and right to provide coarse Mil-Radian adjustments, facilitating clear shooter/spotter communication. When set to high power, the the inverted grid of the reticle is offset to maintain a clear view of bullet trace, while providing fine subtensions for precise corrections. Additionally, a section of 0.1 Mil-Radian subtensions is included at the base of the grid for accurate range estimation.
